A group of workers of the company collected 675 fragments of waste, including 391 pieces of plastic.
Since we are a data company, we could not find a better way to contribute to society than with a map of a river bank to show information on the waste that exists in nature. For that, a group of workers and families of Improving Metrics participated on Saturday March 16 in the national campaign of garbage collection organized by Ecoembes and SEO / Birdlife, within the Libera Project, 1m² by Nature.
Of the 32.7kg of garbage that we collected in the River Trabe as it passed through Vilaboa, in A Coruña, a total of 675 waste fragments were counted, of which 391 were plastics, 44 paper and cardboard, 3 pieces of wood , including one pallet, 36 metal, 6 glass, 4 electrical appliances, 3 hygienic waste and 188 classified as other. Among the latter group are 101 butts, 58 ceramic pieces and 19 pieces of textiles.
To account the garbage we use the elitter App in which we entered the data of the materials that were appearing, to create a national map that is already part of the resources of the Ministry of the Environment.
In total, we collected 3.1kg of plastics and packaging, 1.6kg of paper and cardboard, 0.5kg of glass and 27.5kg of remains (counting the heavy pallet).
A Corporate Social Responsibility activity that we will repeat again.
